TPAF has also been providing support to two orphanages in Nakchu Municipality with a total of about 210 children. During 2006, TPAF financed the on-the-job training of rural housing construction trainees at the number 1 orphanage to construct a new bathroom with hot water for orphans, and at number 2 orphanage the construction of a greenhouse able to produce vegetables for the children throughout much of the year. Both orphanages were also provided with computers and educational software to facilitate the children’s intellectual development. During 2007, TPAF continued to give the orphanages limited support to improve their educational facilities.
