TPAF provides loans to women in 9 villages of Tachi Township within Dranang County in northern Lhoka Prefecture.  An average loan is valued at 900 RMB ($110), repayable in 12 monthly installments over one year. The loan recipients are provided initial training in the responsible use of credit and the selection of appropriate investment schemes. 

Loans have been used for a wide variety of income generating purposes. These include: village retail goods shops, chang (barley liquor) bars, farming tools, furniture making, carpet making, farm animals, weaving of local wool cloth, grain milling equipment and purchase of small tractors engaged in village transport and marketing.
